• Attendance records marked by lecturers
• Messages sent through the platform inbox
• Discussion forum posts and replies
• Files and resources you upload or download

Technical Data

We automatically log certain technical information for security and maintenance purposes, including:

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used exclusively to provide and improve the MEHIT Digital Classroom platform. Specifically:

• Within MEHIT institution: Authorized MEHIT administrators and your assigned lecturers can see your academic data as necessary to provide educational services

• Platform maintenance: Technical staff with system access may view data during maintenance, always subject to confidentiality obligations

4. Data Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information:

• All passwords are hashed using bcrypt with a cost factor of 12 — plain-text passwords are never stored
• Session tokens are regenerated on each login
• CSRF tokens protect all form submissions
• Login attempts are rate-limited to prevent brute-force attacks
• Database access requires authentication and is not exposed publicly

5. Data Retention

Your academic records are retained for the duration of your enrollment at MEHIT and for a reasonable period thereafter (typically 7 years) in accordance with institutional and regulatory requirements. As a user of MEHIT Digital Classroom, you have the right to:

8. Children's Privacy

This platform is intended for students enrolled at MEHIT, who are generally 18 years of age or older. If a user under the age of 18 is enrolled, their data is handled with the same protections described in this policy, and their institution assumes responsibility for parental consent as required by applicable law.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. Material changes will be announced via the platform announcements system.
